Processing of your Personal Data

Your Personal Data are processed by DriveQuant (hereinafter "we", "our" or "us") in the name and on behalf of your Supplier (your company or your service provider) which initiated to helping to improve driving and which proposed the use of the LÉA by DriveQuant Mobile Application (see the General Terms of Service).

Your Personal Data is shared exclusively with your Supplier and we take all necessary measures to ensure that your Supplier grants this data the same level of protection as we guarantee you. Any transmission to third party companies is subject to your prior agreement and that of your Supplier. No data is transferred outside the European Union, DriveQuant's services are integrated on servers of a Host in France: OVH.

What types of Personal Data do we process?

We do not collect any sensitive data concerning users such as racial or ethnic origins, political, philosophical or religious opinions, as well as any data relating to trade union membership, health or sex life.

By using our LÉA by DriveQuant Mobile Application, you are required to provide us with information, some of which may identify you ("Personal Data"). This is particularly the case when you fill in forms (such as the registration form), when you contact us - whether by phone, email or any other means of communication - or when you report a problem to us.

The Personal Data we process includes the following personal information:

  • First name,
  • Last name,
  • E-mail address,
  • The model of your vehicle,
  • Pseudo,
  • Motorized vehicle trips.

In order to detect and analyse a vehicle's trips, the application uses the background location. The app processes the velocity and heading to compute driving indicators. In addition, we process Personal Data about your driving habits and your use of the services, such as:

  • Safety score data: calculated from acceleration/braking events or adherence loss events detected during your motorized trips,
  • Driver distraction data: i.e. how you interact with your smartphone (screen unlock / use) during your motorized trips,
  • Driving advice given to you following your trips,
  • Your potential participation in one or more driving challenges,
  • If your Supplier has expressly requested it and informed you, your motorized trips will be converted to a map accessible by the Web platform administrator.

For what purpose will your Personal Data be processed?

By sharing your Personal Data with DriveQuant, and with your Supplier (at the initiative of using the Mobile Application to help improve driving), you will be able to:

  • Register and access to the LÉA by DriveQuant Mobile Application,
  • Benefit from driver-focused services (safety score, distraction score) that can lead to driving advice and trips notifications,
  • Access the driving challenges organized by your Supplier and obtain rewards (subject to eligibility),
  • Enable your Supplier to manage the Mobile Application and the driving challenges in the application.

NB. At any time, you can disable the sending of notifications in your smartphone's settings.

As part of the use of our Services, some of your Data will be transmitted to other Users of your Supplier. For example, as part of the challenges, all Users will have access to the score and nickname of other registered users.

How long do we keep your Personal Data?

Unless expressly requested otherwise, your Personal Data will be kept for a maximum period of 3 months after the end of the contract between DriveQuant and your Supplier.

Legal compliance and security

We may be required - by law, court proceedings, litigation and/or a request from public or governmental authorities in or outside your country of residence - to disclose your Personal Data. We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so for national security, public order or other matters of public interest, where such disclosure is necessary and appropriate. If legislation permits, we will notify you in advance of the transfer of your data.

We may also disclose personal information if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights and remedies, to enforce our terms and conditions, to investigate a case of fraud or to protect our operations or users.

What are your rights?

In the context of the above-mentioned processing operations, you have the right to request access to your Personal Data in a standard structured format, modification and deletion of your data. In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data or to request a restriction on such processing.

In any case, you also have the right to file a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Modification of our Privacy Policy

We may change our Privacy Policy in accordance with our legal obligations. We recommend that you check this page regularly for any changes or updates to this document.
